[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL, June 5 — LG Group plans to deploy around 10,000 Blackwell GPUs from NVIDIA to accelerate its artificial intelligence transformation (AX) strategy, according to an exclusive report by Maeil Business Newspaper.
Industry sources said the GPUs are expected to be used to train LG AI Research’s large language model Exaone and humanoid robots being developed by LG Electronics.
The report said the move reflects Chairman Koo Kwang-mo’s push to accelerate AI adoption across the group and strengthen LG’s capabilities in physical AI and next-generation technologies.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is expected to visit South Korea on June 5 and meet with leading business figures, including executives from LG, SK, Hyundai Motor Group and Naver.
